Admissions Requirements
- You must be at least 18 years of age.
- Provide original high school diploma or GED.
- Verifiable completion of the 40-hour state-mandated Introductory Child Care Training (including passing state exam).
- Documented minimum of 480 direct contact hours working with children ages eight and below – none of whom are related to the student. These hours can be paid or volunteer hours, but must be documented and certified with a notarized statement. A verification of this previous experience will be made prior to admission into the program.
- Work or volunteer at a center or family child care home at least 80 hours during the course of the training.
- A current and valid Red Cross certificate in first aid, and infant and child CPR.

EEC 100 Child Growth and Development (3 credits)

EEC 120 The Childcare curriculum (3 Credits)

EEC 140 Observing, recording and guiding Children’s behavior (3 Credits)

EEC 160 Professional Childcare Management (3 credits.)
Duración: Length:
1 semester (15 weeks): 100 hrs. Theory and 80 hrs. Lab.
(Internships will be at their place of work. Students will be advised and assisted by one of our advisor.) The course includes teaching the students how to do their portfolios.

Hours: (Students can choose one of the following).
- Monday and Wednesday: 6:00 to 9:30 pm
- Saturday: 9:00 am to 4:00 pm
The program is dictated in English or Spanish
The equivalent program of the FCCPC (Florida Child Care Professional Certificate) that offers Jose Maria Vargas University, allows yourself to obtain 12 Credit units to continue studies of Associate of Arts Degree in Preschool Education.
